About
Practical Plumbing Service
Rooted in the Community. Trusted in Every Home.
Every good story starts close to home. Ours begins right here in the Piedmont Triad, where neighbors still wave when they drive by and a handshake still means something. Practical Plumbing Service wasn’t built in a boardroom—it grew out of a garage, a few good tools, and a simple promise: treat people right, fix things the right way, and always show up when you say you will.
More than thirty years later, that promise still guides everything we do.
Practical Plumbing.
make it right. make it professional. make it clear. make it work. make it count. make it family. make it happen. make it important. make it enjoyable. make it personal. make it last. make it wow. make it honest. make it better. make it local. make it practical.

How It All Began
Our founder started Practical Plumbing the way many family businesses do—out of necessity, grit, and a belief that honesty never goes out of style. Back then, it was just one truck, a toolbox, and a determination to do right by every homeowner who called.
He believed in earning trust the hard way—by being there when it mattered, charging fair prices, and leaving every job cleaner than it was found. Word spread quickly through Greensboro, High Point, and the surrounding Triad towns. Before long, neighbors were telling neighbors, and Practical Plumbing became more than a business—it became part of the local fabric.
What started as one man with a wrench is now a team of skilled plumbers who share that same dedication to honest, quality work.
Still Family. Still Local.
Even as we’ve grown, one thing hasn’t changed: we’re still family-owned, still proudly local, and still believe in treating customers like neighbors.
When you call us, you won’t reach a distant call center—you’ll talk to someone who lives right here in your community. The folks who fix your plumbing are the same ones you might see at the grocery store, a Little League game, or the next town fundraiser. That’s what makes the difference.
Our team is family, and we see every customer as part of that circle. We look out for you, communicate clearly, and never upsell or overpromise. Just straightforward work, fair prices, and genuine respect for your home and time.
What We Believe In
At Practical Plumbing, we don’t just fix leaks—we build relationships. Our work is guided by three simple values that have been passed down since day one:
Every quote is clear. Every job is explained before we start. No hidden fees, no surprises.
We do the job right the first time. Our plumbers are trained, licensed, and take real pride in their work—because your home deserves that care.
We’re proud to serve the same community we live in. When you call, we show up—ready to help, ready to listen, and ready to get your home back in working order.
Our Community Roots
The Piedmont Triad isn’t just where we work—it’s where we raise our families. It’s where we’ve built friendships that last beyond business. We sponsor local events, support youth sports, and lend a hand wherever we can because this community has supported us from the start.
We’ve been invited into countless homes over the years, and we don’t take that lightly. Each visit is a chance to earn trust anew—to prove that local still means something, and that craftsmanship still matters.
We’ve seen families grow, neighborhoods change, and houses passed from one generation to the next. Through it all, we’ve been there—keeping water running, heat flowing, and peace of mind intact.
The Practical Plumbing Difference
There are plenty of plumbing companies out there—but few that treat every home as if it were their own. That’s what sets us apart.
We’re not about quick fixes or confusing bills. We’re about clear communication, lasting solutions, and honest service. From the first phone call to the final inspection, you’ll know exactly what to expect and who’s doing the work.
Because when you invite someone into your home, trust is everything—and that’s something we never take for granted.
Our trucks are stocked, our phones are answered by real people, and our technicians arrive on time, ready to help. It’s not fancy—it’s just the right way to do business.
Looking Ahead
After more than three decades, we’re as committed as ever to serving our neighbors with integrity. The tools may have changed, but our purpose hasn’t.
We’re proud to carry on the Practical Plumbing name, knowing it represents more than service—it represents family, trust, and local pride. As we continue to grow, we’ll keep investing in our people, our community, and the next generation of skilled tradesmen who will carry this work forward.
Because for us, plumbing is personal. It’s not just about pipes—it’s about the people who rely on them.
Whether you’ve been with us for years or you’re calling for the first time, welcome to the Practical Plumbing family. We’re here to help, here to listen, and here to keep your home running right.
A Promise That Lasts
When we say “Rooted in the Community. Trusted in Every Home,” it’s not a slogan—it’s our story. Every repair, every installation, every satisfied neighbor is part of that story.
And we’re just getting started.
